Samsung Galaxy A50 Details
Samsung Galaxy A50 has already proved to be a stellar mid-budget smartphone by the South Korean giant. The phone looks stunning from the back despite having a plastic body, mainly due to what Samsung is calling glastic. The phone is made with plastic but it looks like a glass. So the plastic body doesn’t looks cheap in the hand, and it’s very light too.
The phone comes with a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED screen which company calls Infinity-U display for its U-shaped notch on the top. The screen resolution Full HD+ (2340×1080 pixels) and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, for the first time Samsung has used an in display fingerprint reader in the affordable and mid-budget segment. So overall the display is very sharp and colorful which offering great viewing experience.
The Galaxy A50 is performed by Samsung’s mid-range Exynos 9610 Octa core 2.3GHz processor and runs with Android v9.0 (pie) operating system. The 4GB RAM and Mali-G72 MP3 graphics processor ensures smooth multitasking and lag free gaming. It has 64GB internal storage and supports up to 512GB with microSD card. In terms of gaming, there’s no sign of lag or frame drops while playing highley intensive games such as PUBG and ASPHALT.
The phone paired with a triple primary camera of 25+8+5 megapixel and 25MP front cameras. Both back and front cameras have some breathtaking features for capturing stunning photos and selfies. The rear facing camera can record 2160p 4K UHD and 1080p Full HD videos at 30fps.
As far as battery is concerned it has 4000 mAh battery with Fast Charging and USB Type-C charging. So the phone can easily survive a day even with heavy usage.
Should You Buy It?
In my opinion, the Galaxy A50 is Samsung’s best attempt to defend chinese competition in the mid-range budget. However, still believe the hardcore gamer will prefer Poco F1 due to its powerful Snapdragon 845 chip.
Overall, Samsung Galaxy A50 is undoubtedly one of the best phone in this price range.
